John Wardle, aka Jah Wobble, came to fame in the late '70s as a 20-something when he played bass for John Lydon's first band after the Sex Pistols, namely Public Image Limited. Several collaborations with German avant-gardists Can and U2 guitarist The Edge followed.
In the 80s, he worked as a train conductor for the London Underground. But fortunately, his creativity took over and he returned to the music scene. The 1992 show at London's Town & Country Club is one of several charity shows organized by the British magazine New Musical Express.
