A bunch of New Zealand's finest jazz explorers join forces as The Circling Sun. Guy Harrison and Cory Champion (Clear Path Ensemble), Julien Dyne, and a full choir (arranged by Matt Hunter) set the controls for the heart of the sun for some dynamic spiritual/modal jazz, channelling the spirits of legends Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane, and Sun Ra. Psychedelic keyboard freakouts, wild saxophone, and tranquil floating harp make this a transcendent, cosmic jazz doozy.
