3 COMPLETE ALBUMS on 2 CD

INCLUDES 9 BONUS TRACKS

This release presents the great baritone sax player Leo Parker’s last two albums, Let Me Tell You ‘Bout It (Blue Note BST-84047), and Rollin’ with Leo (Blue Note BST84095/LT 1076), in their entireties. Both LPs were recorded in mid-late 1961, just months before Parker’s untimely death on February 11, 1962 at the age of 36, due to a heart attack provoked by his drug abuse. The 1961 Blue Note sessions were intended to be a comeback for Parker, who hadn’t entered a recording studio in nearly five years. This issue is complented with three rare sessions presenting Parker in quartet, quintet and sextet formats, backed by glorious jazzmen such as Charlie Rouse, Al Haig, Oscar Pettiford, and Max Roach, among others.
