The LP showcases Cannonball and Coltrane sharing the frontline at a time when both saxophonists were members of the Miles Davis Sextet. As a bonus, a the complete Coltrane quartet LP "Mating Call" (Prestige LP7070), which paired his with the great pianist and composer Tadd Dameron.
