King Curtis

This is an excellent album. King Curtis takes his inspiration from a wide variety of musical forms, and delivers it all up in a cool, funky package. There are a lot of familiar songs on this CD, but they've never been served up quite like this before. The band is tight, and King Curtis really shines throughout. The album is entirely instrumental, but it keeps your attention from start to finish. Fans of funky jazz won't be disappointed by this one.
