Adolfo Echeverria

Recorded with the Fuentes hit production team of Isaac Villanueva and Hernan Colorado, Sabroso Bacalao (1977) is a brilliantly diverse album featuring the fiery piano of Hugo Molinares. With vocal duties shared between Adolfo Echeverria, Freddy Cruz and Manuel Cassiani, the LP contains hot, driving hardcore salsa tunes plus some cumbia and porro and cuts in the Afro-Cuban oriza rhythm and cumbele style. The record yielded the hit Fantasia Marina, but in recent years Noches de Cumbia and the title track have become tropical DJ dance floor standards.
