Lars Gullin was one of the top baritone saxophone players and a giant of European jazz. He played in local bands in the late '40s before getting his professional start with Arne Domnerus's sextet in the '50s. He is best known for the small-group recordings he made in the mid-'50s, two of which are collected together on this disc. - Oldies.com
