A Canadian concert by the Bill Evans Trio appearing here on CD for the first time ever (this is a completely different concert than the one issued on the Milestone CD "Blue in Green").

Personnel: Bill Evans (p), Eddie Gomez (b) & Marty Morell (d).

Tracks: 1. Intro, 2. Midnight Mood, 3. Elsa, 4. Sugar Plum, 5. Morning Glory, 6. A Sleepin' Bee, 7. How My Heart Sings, 8. Time Remembered, 9. Beautiful Love, 10. How My Heart Sings (II) 4:20*, 11. Gloria's Step 6:57*, 12. Time Remembered (II) 5:17*, 13. My Romance 4:39*.

Recorded: Camp Fortune, Ottawa, Canada, August 1974.
* Bonus Tracks (#10-13): Same Personnel. TV Broadcast. New York, September 17, 1972.

This Canadian concert was performed shortly before Morell's departure from the Bill Evans Trio and, therefore, boasted a well-rehearsed unit. The only documents posterior to the Ottawa performance featuring Morell are a Laren concert with the trio backing Stan Getz on August 9, 1974 and another live set recorded, according to discographies, in Europe during the summer of that year, although date and exact location remain unknown. Before Eliot Zigmund's arrival, Evans would make a duo album with Eddie Gomez entitled "Intuition".

The concert issued here was one of two performances recorded during that engagement, although not a single tune was played twice. The other concert - including the tunes "One for Helen", "The Two Lonely People", "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?", "So What", "Very Early", "If You Could See Me Now", "34 Skidoo", "Blue in Green" and "Twelve Tone Tune" - has been issued on CD under the title of "Blue in Green". This concert, taken from a radio broadcast, has been long unavailable and appears here on CD for the first time ever.

As a bonus to this rare concert, the producers have added the soundtrack from a TV show featuring the same Bill Evans trio, recorded in New York on September 17, 1972
