‘Next Time Could Be Your Last Time’ is the first album from British trio Forgiveness, consisting of PVT’s Richard Pike, producer JQ and Portico Quartet’s Jack Wyllie. Their brightly coloured compositions are beautiful tone poems that draw on elements of jazz, ambient music and electronica but don’t fall easily into any of those categories. For fans of mid-Seventies Miles Davis or late-era Talk Talk.
