DUX Orchestra

The Dux Orchestra has a mighty heady sound here – one delivered with two baritone saxes, played by Dave Sewelson and Mats Gustafsson – in a septet lineup that also features Will Connell on alto clarinet, Dave Hofstra on bass, Susie Ibarra and Walter Sweets Perkins on drums, and JC Morrison on electric guitar! Morrison wrote the music, but there's a lot of improvisation in the mix – a very full, very head-on sound that brews up strongly at the start, then fragments into all sorts of individual improvisations as the set moves on.
