Hotel Bossa Nova are musical globetrotters, adventurous and always curious border crossers of world jazz who know how to dive into the most diverse stylistic spheres. On their eighth album ‚ Cruzamento – Portuguese for crossroads – the jazz quartet from Wiesbaden once again artfully dissolves rigid genre boundaries. The result is an inimitable mixture of many a jazzy style, combined with fado, samba and, of course, the sensual saudade of bossa nova.

The quartet is led by the charming Liza da Costa, a singer with Indian-Portuguese roots. Together with the three virtuoso instrumentalists Tilmann Höhn (guitar), Alex Sonntag (bass) and Wolfgang Stamm (drums), they founded their stylistic diversity, which even after fifteen years of band history, still comes together convincingly and refreshingly unpretentious. Cruzamento‘ is a magical and excitingly intense album!
