A beautifully moody record fron Maki Asakawa, and a set that may well be one of her most striking ever – thanks to a stripped-down approach to recording that often mixes her vocals with just a bit of piano and saxophone – handled by Toshiyuki Honda throughout!

The vibe here is very different than some of Asakawa's previous records – almost timeless in approach, although every bit as dark as most of her other 80s sessions – yet given a very different quality, due to the relatively spare sound of the cuts. Tristan Honsinger plays cello on a few tracks too.
