This self-titled album from Toronto's Felicity Williams (Bernice, Bahamas) and Andrew Zukerman (Fleshtone Aura, Badge Epoch) operating as You Can Can is something of a revelation - a remarkable, unique fusion of folk and musique concrète. Think if Linda Perhacs had been a member of Gastr Del Sol and they recorded at Pierre Schaffer’s GRM studio and you're somewhere close to the sheer magic of this record.

There are so many ideas and elements here and yet things feel wonderfully airy and spacious as earthy pastoral folk blends with field recordings, analogue and digital elements and electro-acoustic techniques are deployed into a dreamy, melancholy, ghostly work.
