Inspired by the ease of access afforded by the rise of digital technology in late 90’s, the American auteur David Lynch famously stepped outside Hollywood’s typical work model for the feature Inland Empire.
Part of that individualistic spirit included recording his own music for the first time as well, including the blues-y shuffle ‘Ghost of Love’. Aided by a Boss VT-1 pedal vocal, Lynch was finally able to recreate the haunted Western vibe so attached to his filmmaking without sacrificing his vision. Sacred Bones is pairing ‘Ghost’ with the like minded ‘Imaginary Girl’ on vinyl for the very first time for a new 7” in tribute to Empire’s 2022 revival showings.
