Latin Genesis was inpired by the Elvin Jones album "Genesis" recorded in 1971.
It was the first recording Dave Liebman played as a sideman with the legendary drummer. Along with four of the tunes from "Genesis" this release provides original material which applies basically the same approach as the original album, but not using chordal instruments.
