Ennio Morricone

A string-laden, sweeping score by the great Ennio Morricone – for the 18th Century pirate romance L'Avventuriero! The film provided an opportunity for a wide departure from the spaghetti western work Morricone was so famously working on at the time – with some really sensitive, mellow moments! The string arrangements and light pianos manage to balance between epic romance and tempered melodicism very delicately. The work of a master!
