Dark, burning jazz from three of London's heaviest musicians on Ferg Ireland's debut recording as bandleader. It is a snap shot of the melting pot of sounds currently abound south of the river, as seen through the ensemble’s lens. Ireland (22a, Ashley Henry, Soweto Kinch) Nathaniel Facey (Empirical) and James Maddren (Enemy) combine jagged, rhythmic interplay with cosmic notes and transcendental vibes, the presence of Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane and West London's broken beat scene being felt throughout.
