Double bassist and composer Milo Fitzpatrick is one of the founding members of Portico Quartet. Here he joins forces with saxophonist Jordan Smart from groups like Mammal Hands and Sunda to form Vega Trails. It is a powerful combination that takes its name from a Carl Sagan sci-fi novel and offers up stripped back and raw but emotive music. The tracks are delicate and spare but incredibly potent, with each note resonating and every finger movement laid bare.
