Ivan Lins is one of Brazil's most acclaimed and recorded composers and a melodic inventor without equal. Songs by the four-time Latin Grammy Award winner have become Brazilian standards, and his international classic "Love Dance" has been interpreted by stars such as Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, Blossom Dearie, Barbra Streisand and Quincy Jones.

For Lins' 78th birthday, Resonance Records is releasing "My Heart Speaks." The composer, backed by a large symphony orchestra, plays rare gems from his catalog in arrangements by Kuno Schmid. Guests are Randy Brecker, Dianne Reeves, Jane Monheit and the exciting newcomer Tawanda.
