Julia Werup

Julia Werp's second album! A collection of original works by Julia and her husband Tomas. Julia Veerup is a Swedish poet and singer who made her official debut as a jazz vocalist with "The Thrill of Loving You" in 2020 to great acclaim.

Her second album, "DEAR FRANCES," is an album of original songs written by Julia and producer/drummer (and husband) Tomas Braakman. Being pregnant during the making of this album and its music had a profound effect on her personally and musically, replacing the darker sound that her previous albums had encompassed with something somewhat brighter and more optimistic. The result is a lovely album that drifts elegantly between experimental pieces and more accessible modern jazz tunes. Another key feature is the participation of Andreas Kleerup (Kleerup), a popular Swedish producer and electro-pop musician who also works under the name "Kleerup."
