Reissued by quality-focused new age time capsulists Ebalunga Records, 'Wilderness America' is a curious album from the mid-1970s that bore one of the first musical responses to climate change and global warming in the United States.
It does what it says on the side of the mountain, and practises what it preaches. Much like the collective action and ego-abandoning required to fight unchecked growth, 'A Celebration of the Land' charts myriad (tens) of contributions from guest musicians - including Iasos, Doug Lunn and John Blakeley - to produce a sonic manifesto against the "steel and concrete madness" of city living, and a return to nature.
