This essential CD presents two of Hallyday’s most iconic LPs from his early period: the historic concert "Johnny à l’Olympia" (1962), which made him a full-fledged teen idol, plus the equally outstanding 10” record, Johnny Hallyday et Ses “Fans” Au Festival de Rock N’ Roll (1961). Both LPs feature some of Johnny Hallyday’s greatest numbers during his seminal years, when he gained fame as France’s answer to Elvis Presley and the other fabulous rock legends of the ‘50s. They have been remastered and packaged together in this collector’s edition, which also contains a bonus track from the same period. This is an essential set for listeners who want to hear the building blocks of Johnny Hallyday’s legacy, and for any devotee of original rock & roll.
