This release contains the complete combo session plus the complete original soundtrack by Johnny Mandel made in 1958 for the film "I Want To Live". The music features Gerry Mulligan along with other stars like Art Farmer, Bud Shank & Frank Rosolino, as well as Mandel's orchestra including such figures as Rosolino himself, Jack Sheldon & Joe Maini. Three small group songs from thelater movie soundtrack featuring Mulligan, Sheldon and Art Pepper have been added as a bonus tracks.
