Both showcase first-rate names, such as Coleman Hawkins, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Benny Carter, Willie Smith, Charlie Shavers, Plas Johnson, and Babe Russin, playing well-known standards along with originals created at the sessions as the base for splendid improvisations.
