This collector’s edition presents all of the master takes Elvis Presley made between July 1953 and November 1955 at the Memphis Recording Service (now commonly known as Sun Studio), prior to his signing to RCA-Victor. This essential set also contains 4 bonus tracks, including live recordings from that same period. These remastered gems are widely regarded as the building blocks of Elvis Presley’s career and among the greatest recordings in rock& roll history.

These 27 tracks are indispensable. They feature Bill Black’s galloping heartbeat bass rhythms, Scotty Moore’s infectious guitar pyrotechnics (he plays rhythm and lead simultaneously like no one else), and Sam Phillips’ unique, slap-back echo production. Every effort has been made to replicate the incredible vibrancy of the original Sun material. No rock & roll collectioncan ever be considered complete without these recordings.
