Lifeblood of the cultural diaspora of Apartheid, Dyani left South Africa with the Blue Notes in 1964 to become a beacon of this fight in exile while recording with many other musicians travelling through Europe. This reissue of a 1979 duo recording of the legendary South African with drummer Clifford Jarvis was recorded in Italy (Studio Milano) at the end of 1979. Jarvis rhythmically diverse, sound drumming, adds textures and colors to Dyani's warm, large tone and relaxed yet authoritative style (also on piano in Lonely Flowers) with plenty of solo time for both of them. With new updated artwork.
